Additionally to looking at the core of retail design from today and tomorrow, the book discusses the relationship between the physical and the virtual retail world, and treats topics such as re-use, stakeholder communication, and globalization/localization. ‘Retail design: theoretical perspectives’ approaches the subject from a global perspective, and brings together contributions from authors across the globe. The book looks at developments in retail design from this global framework and relates retail design to societal, cultural and economic developments.
One of the authors of the book is Katelijn Quartier, expert in retail design at Hasselt University Faculty of Architecture and Arts (ArcK). The book collects a great amount of international insight on retail design that complements the knowledge already acquired by the ArcK research group.
